Host a game night
Bring players into the same room, choose a suitable game, and manage the session.
Pick a game for your group#
| Group | Good starting points | Check first |
|---|---|---|
| One person | Gridlock, Connect Battle, word games with Smooth Bot; Grave Shift or Soul Circuit | Choose the supported solo mode. |
| Two people | Connect Battle, Gridlock, Codebreaker, Box Wars, Mind Games, RPR | Some games require server Premium. |
| Three or more | Trivia, Crowd Says, Bad Decisions, word games | Bad Decisions needs 3–10 human players. |
| A mixed group of players and viewers | Games with spectator support | Watching is different from taking a seat. |
Player limits differ by game. Use the individual guide before inviting a large group.
Prepare the lobby#
- Use a channel all intended participants can access.
- Run /games, choose the game, and review its mode and options.
- Share the resulting room invitation in that channel. Ask everyone to join that same room.
- Check the seated players and required Ready controls before starting. For team games, review the teams and captain roles.
Use the right host controls#
The room shows the controls available to your role and the current phase. Host-only controls are not available to spectators. For Trivia, the retained commands below provide host and score access; command availability depends on the active game.
Trivia host tools#
/trivia host/trivia scoreboard/trivia endUse the host panel for the active session. Ending a session stops it while preserving earned scores. Close-question controls are different: they close the current question without awarding a point. Follow the confirmation text before ending a match.
If the group cannot start#
- Check that the required players joined as participants rather than viewers.
- Check whether the selected game needs human players, team assignment, or Ready confirmations.
- If only one member is blocked, compare their channel and command permissions with a member who can join.
- If a host disconnects, return to the existing room before trying recovery controls.
