Verification troubleshooting
Resolve missing prompts, early-completion errors, nickname failures, and missing welcome cards.

/welcome status/verifier helpCheck the configured server, channels, duration, and enabled state before testing again.
Find your symptom#
| Symptom | Likely check | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| New arrivals get no prompt | Welcome enabled, configured server, bot access | Check status and welcome-channel permissions. |
| Completion says it is too early | Configured duration and start time | Wait for the required duration; do not reduce the timer to bypass a member’s check. |
| Welcome card never appears | Announcement-channel permissions | Allow View Channel, Send Messages, Embed Links, Read Message History, and Attach Files. |
| Nickname does not change | Policy, missing input, role hierarchy | Complete /verify if requested and check bot role/nickname authority. |
| Verified member remains locked out | Completed role and channel overrides | Check SmoothMember access on the actual member channels. |
| Unverified member can see everything | Administrator role, @everyone, other roles/auto-role bots | Test with a regular member and remove unintended member-area grants. |
| Commands reject this server | Approved installation boundary | Ask support to confirm the server is configured; do not reuse a server-locked invite. |
