Translation troubleshooting

Fix missing mirrors, queued messages, role problems, and language-picker issues.

Start with status#

/translator status

Read the configured channels/languages, pending work, retries, and failures. This separates a paused queue from a permission or configuration problem.

Find your symptom#

Symptom	Check	Next action
No translated messages	Is the conversation connected? Is delivery paused? Are these new messages?	Resume if paused; test one new text message in a mapped channel.
Setup stopped partway	The specific role, channel, or webhook permission error	Fix access or hierarchy, then /translator sync.
Picker missing	The picker channel and bot message permissions	Use /translator panel, then test /language.
Member sees no conversation	Selected language and original private membership	Choose a language and ask an admin to inspect the original channel.
Member sees an unexpected private room	Administrator status, original membership, manually assigned access roles	Check with an ordinary member and repair the original audience; stop sensitive conversation until access is correct.
A translated message appears twice	A retry after a network or process interruption	Report the originals and approximate time. Delivery retries can produce duplicates.
Images, voice, or old messages are not translated	Feature coverage	Use new text messages; attachments are links and history is not imported.

Safe repair sequence#

Read /translator status and record the visible error.
Correct the reported permissions, role position, original membership, or configuration.
Run /translator sync once.
Test a new message and both allowed/denied private access.

Email admin@gosignalz.com with the bot name, the step that failed, the exact error, and your Discord server ID. Include a redacted screenshot if useful. Never send passwords, bot tokens, webhook URLs, or private verification links.
